A Fate/stay night alternate universe spin-off manga by Hiroyama Hiroshi, Fate/kaleid liner began serialization in the November 2007 issue of Comp Ace. The series revolves around Illya as a school girl and a Magical Girl who has to collect Class Cards.
According to comments from Nasu and Takeuchi in chapter 1's creator comment section, the series was originally supposed to appear in Happy Gander. The serialization ended in the January 2009 issue of Comp Ace with a total of two volumes. A sequel titled Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA 2wei! began serialization in the June 2009 issue of Comp Ace.
